OK heres my problem,

I am looking to buy a 1980Z 2 seater, L28 N/A.

I am not a powercrazy 20 year old (although a post of mine on Zcarchat.com would say otherwise!) I basically want to know what are the best mods to do to the z to up the power a wee bit as I am on a budget until I can afford either a chevy V8 or turbo motor as well as the insurance for this.

Header and exhaust. Mill the head, open element air cleaner, mild cam, bigger throttle body.

lockjaw has a good start.. also take off all the smog and the deceleration vacum controlled device. also... a company in california sells oversized valves for our already big vavled Heads. The company is called SI Valves. only 20 bucks extra for polished stainless... nice huh?
