Mudge
I have software for my Chevy car ( www.tunercat.com ) the cables and etc, but is anyone here actually doing thier own computer programming, or are you limited to using 'professional' tuners only? In my experience mail order tuning is a serious crap shot, nothing is ever optimized where I prefer to sit and do the work on the dyno myself, MINUS the $1500+ DFI/FAST etc setups. If you are programming your own gear, which cars have EEPROMs and which must use a PROM burner? Thanks!
Tim240z
I am using TC on my LT1 and so far I love it. The car isn't on the road yet so I haven'tone anything extensive. Tim
Mudge
Yep, Tunercat is great, I got 411 RW out of my LT1 with it, but I'm hoping to find something for a Z engine or something transplantable for the short term without costing me 3g. Something to road race with for awhile, without being a ridiculous amount of power to even TRY to control.
