88dangerdan
It only took an hour to get it to look like this from this Then it took about another hour to get it to look like this The grille is off of a '08 GMC 1500 and only cost me $20 So you got two choices, but if you choose second one can't go back without having two of these Daniel

socorob
Can you post a brighter clearer picture with the bumper mounted?
1vicissitude
I have always wondered if one of those big grills would work. Is that an aftermarket or OEM? Would have never thought to try these GMC grills because of the huge GMC emblem. I want a grill like a ~1965 riviera on a Z. 88dangerdan
The '08 GMC billet grille is fastened with 5 screws right over the OEM grille that has the GMC logo it's part of the upgrade package and considered OEM not that it matters for what I did. The cuts I had to make were 1" inward on the top on both sides, and 13 slats down. Then found center where my bumper struts lined up and cut 2" diameter hole. I had the struts off so I could come through at an angle so as to keep the hole smaller. Then made a couple of L brackets that screwed in the same hole the original grille did. socorob
So it's an aftermarket grille? If so who made it.
socorob
Also is it not mounted straight? One side looks higher than the other.
88dangerdan
The way it was explained to me was that it came off the lot with it. It was offered as part of a upgrade package. And the way it was fastened I could see that being possible. And yes, good eye it is a little crooked I was hoping no one would catch that but I should have known better. I have to go back and adjust the one side. The earlier picture that was taken last night shows it straight. I think I make a little stiffer L brackets
