I don't even have any idea on how to put pictures on here yet but I'll get around to that I was just offered a F54 long block with p90a head rebuilt with all the accessories for $600 what do you guys think about this buy? its about a 1 hour drive to see the engine,what in particular should I be looking for? NewZed Posted June 4, 2014 Share Posted June 4, 2014 Look for value. Receipts and proof that a pro rebuilt the head, versus some guy in his garage. New valve seals don't count as a rebuild. How many accessories and what shape are they in. An old worn out alternator isn't worth much. You can get a used engine form a wrecking yard for about $350. Come to find out it was a at home rebuild. But came with all new accessories sprk wires/plugs, and su carb setup, dizzy etc etc Researched a bit on here and seen that I would also have to do the solid lifter conversion on that p90a. Regardless my wife pulled that go ahead, then when it came down to it, a big f'in NO. well as they say happy wife/miserable life oops i meant happy life.
