jesseparker56
Hi everyone, I am new to this site, so this probably has be covered, but I am need some good shocks/springs for my car. When I put the LQ4 in it smashed my front end and raised my ***end. I am mostly doing straight line, but wouldn’t mind getting into the autocross as well. I am not wanting to send 2k on coil overs, I just want something that can hold the weight and power better.
NewZed
So do you want to lower the ass end or raise the front end?
jesseparker56
i am fine with the way the front end sets, and i am guessing it is that low bc the springs are old. but i do need to lower the ass end bc it had it cambered to much. for now i cut my springs to make it look ok. but i don't want to keep it that way. jesseparker56
To let you know how bad it was, it set up 5 1/2 inches over the back tires. and the front was 1/2 an inch
NewZed
I only posted to help you clarify your issue. You should post in a ZX forum since your problem is with the ZX suspension. Seems like you might also have an issue with motor placement since the LQ4 is not supposed to be that much heavier than an L6 (100 lbs more?). Your front suspension "smash" seems excessive and the back end really shouldn't have raised, unless the new motor was placed ahead of the front suspension center line. I'm no expert though, and haven't swapped a ZX. Give some details on the swap.
