Guest kcambron
I'm going to put a L28 into my 73 240Z and would like some info on what is required concerning electrical changes and fuel requirements. (1) Will I need the fuel tank from a newer car? (2) What electrical components will I need? (3) If mods are made later, will I be able to increase the fuel flow easily? Thanks in advance for your replies!
johnc
Are you going to run the fuel injection system from the L28 or the carburators from the L24?
Guest kcambron
I really want to run the fuel injection!
Guest bastaad525
If you want to run the EFI, you're gonna need all the EFI components from the donor car, including: intake manifold, throttle body, air flow meter, ecu, wiring harness, sensors, and various other electronic parts. You'll also need the fuel tank and fuel pump from a '75 or later 280z.
riverz
I have an intake and all the stuff you need. Where do you live?
Guest kcambron
Thanks, I have all the parts from a 76 EFI donor car. I am just getting a game plan on what I am going to need, It's starting to come together! I have the engine bay harness out and the harness form the drivers side "computer" to the flow sensor. I am still a little unclear as to the next step on the electrical connections under the blower motor. My plan is to install the 280Z harness that goes to the computer and engine bay, then attack the connections under the heater blower! Thanks for the help! marcus70ZT
you will also need a bigger fuel return line if you are running the EFI. the carb line will not flow enough and your fuel pressure will go sky-high causing you to run rich.
