so i have quite a conundrum here, i just had a head rebuilt for my 280zx, bolted everything back together, replaced many parts, started it up and it ran like shit for a few days, went over some of the connectors and unplugged them and plugged them back in and the idle is great now, steady at 700, but there is 0 power, always the smell of gas, and if i want to keep up with a grandmah leaving a red light, i have to floor it to go ANYWHERE, and i mean it literally, i have to floor the gas pedal to get ANY kind of acceleration. it hesitates and backfires a bit while driving normally, just random pops and stumbles, everywhere i look i see people having similar problems except that they all have rough idle, my idle is very steady, it just has a very rich and throaty sound to it. brand new plugs, fuel pump, maf, and a few other things that have been replaces, can anyone help me? i will get a video up soon

Have you measured anything?  I see RPM, and 0.  0 isn't even correct since the car does move.  "New" us useless if the numbers aren't right.

Just to add a guess - You have a flat cam lobe causing the popping and lack of power, and the CHTS resistance is high, causing the gas smell,

I have just had the head rebuilt, the old cam was in horrible condition, I bought one off someone on here and it was in awesome condition, so that's not what's causing the lack of power and backfiring? I'm running extremely rich, I have recorded video, will upload after work today
