tickwon
This is my setup on a stock j-pipe. Yes, it is very sweet sounding. I love it. Chris 1981 ZXT
Jwink25
Isn't that the stock blow off valve in the background? Why is it still on?

Why is it still on? you mean the thing on the end of the inake manifold? thats the pop off valve, it's used as a saftey feature. it pops off if you overboost to save the motor. VinhZXT
Tim, Who weld the flange on for you? How much did it cost? If you did it yourself how difficult to get it sealed? Also are these things adjustable .. that is can you adjust it so that it only release pressure at a certain boost level? Thanks Vinh http://vvu.tripod.com
yo2001
You guys got it confused I think. BOV is to release the boost pressure between shifting or on and off the gas pedal. POV is to release pressure when boost becomes too high.
VinhZXT
Yo2001, How "hi" is high? That's what I am talking about. What's the setting when it's venting or another word releasing pressure? Also is that setting adjustable on the valve?
tickwon
On the HKS it can be adjusted...it adjusts the opening of the blow-off. If it's open too long the car will stall for like a sec. It was trail and error for me...many runs. I finally got it to where it works out for me. Chris
Tim240z
Wow, I must have just gotten lucky..I just welded it on and drove..no leaking, no stalling, nothing but WOOOOSH!! I welded mine on the J pipe about 2 inches before the TB, on the bend. I tried to get it as close to the TB as possible. Tim

May be around 30psi. DSM BOV hold to like 16-18psi. POV does vent, stock one suppose to vent like 8psi. ppl shim it to get it to 12-14psi. BTW, here is my BOV. Blue silicon hose goes to TB.
