lil_foot
I'm in the process of converting to Ground Control coilovers and I totally trashed the threads on the driver's side front strut assembly trying to remove the gland nut. I read that someone cut their struts and had them tapped and threaded at a machine shop - Is this a viable option, or would it be better for me to try to find a new driver's side strut? I don't want to weaken the strut tube and have something go catastrophically wrong while at the track or auto-x. Thanks!
Miles
I dented one of my front struts such that the gland nut would no longer fit. I just bought another strut.
lil_foot
HUGE thanks goes to Gabriel at Techno Toy Tuning. I purchased my camber plates and top hats from him and he has been nothing but helpful with the coilover conversion. I called him today and asked if he had any spare struts for sale, and he ended up hooking me up with a cut off sleeve. I should have the car done this weekend. THANKS GABE!
