OMONLA
hi guys, i 've read tips /advice on a couple of lsx builds here and i thought i'd reach out for some more tips looking to do an ls based swap into my 78z getting a great deal on an lq9/4l80 out of a 99 gmc. i have looked into, read all else that this swap entails and i just want to know where to source the accessories to make it all fit. I'm having a shop complete the swap but i need help and tips on where to source parts to provide them....mainly to get the motor running im talking accesories, oil pan etc. i've done the search, thing and gotten good tips so i know what direction im headed, i know the truck set-up will not clear, i guess i need to know what all i need to source and from what year f-body? Thanks guys
Marks260z
Are you going to run AC? I need to get accessories figured out as well for my 260Z swap. I have read so many threads now that it is all a jumble in my head.
RebekahsZ
I think: 1998-2002 Camaro water pump and idler pullies and tensioner. From the same car and year: crank pulley, alternator, alternator backets (2). 1998-2002 Camaro or C6 corvette oilpan, gasket, dipstick, windage tray and oil pickup with fresh pickup o-ring. Look into Mr. Gasket's aftermarket thermostat water neck that swivels 360-degrees.

RebekahsZ
Thanks! I've gotten everything I know from the others on this forum. And by making lots of mistakes and buying lots of parts twice.
