Sway bar for my Laurel C31

Recommended Posts

I'm after a bigger sway bar for my 83 Laurel C31. It has about the same suspension as all RWD Nissan's from the '70's, '80's and early '90's but no aftermarket support because they are very rare in the whole world. I fitted S12 strut rod bushings and S130 sway bar links so I think a lot of parts would fit from different Nissans.

Can you guys check and see if a sway bar from a S30 or S130 or Z31 would fit? Or anything you have laying around? Mine is only 18mm thick....;):D

The center to center distance for the mounting bushings on the S30 is 700 mm, so the S30 sway bars are likely too narrow for your application.

I would look into a sway bar for an older Mustang.  I used to play with the older Mustangs (69-70).  They had a similar shape and were wider than the S30 sway bars.

I measured an aftermarket bar of S14 silvia. 980 mm, 730 mm, and 210 mm. I measured the arm dimension as offset from the bushing axis.

The other one is modified stock bar of 240z.

I suppose BMW E46 bar is slightly larger than S14's in any direction.
