Owen
Am in the process of installing a fuel cell, cut out the tire well, etc. I am interested in seeing what others have done to relocate the filler to the rear panel behind the license plate. I guess what I really want to know is, does the filler have to be separated from the driver? Or just the cell? (NHRA rules) If the filler cap is behind the plate, then I don't need a lid/trap door for the cell itself? I plan to use the 45-deg neck but may also weld up some tubing into an S and then have the end bolt on to the cell filler bolts. Thanks, Owen
Owen
Anyone ever think of using the rear quarter panel emblem location as a fuel filler location? Owen
Ray
I have removed the spare tire well and welded in a piece of beaded sheet. I was going to box the filler neck as I wanted the tank isolated. Havent done it yet call me Pete Jr, I've been busy. If someone will tell me how to post a pix I will show you some pix before during and after...
