nzarano
i know pulling the dash only takes a day but seriously trying to avoid it s theres just so many avenues for mistakes... hoping someone can give me advice/ guidance on if it can be done.... Pillar
I would imagine it is doable if you pull everything out of the center stack, but it would definitely make things that much more difficult. What year is yours? Does it already have factory AC components?
Namor
Just fitting the unit behind/under the dash without removing it is a pain in the ass. I bought a mock-up unit and slipped it sort of in place but will definitely be removing my dash for the actual install. I don't even want to think about trying to fabricate mounts and run ductwork and lines with the dash in place.
nzarano
its a '73 240z so no stock ac components
socorob
I had to remove mine to install the vintage air compac in my 78. It will probably be much much easier to remove the dash than to try to install it with the dash in place.
