pparaska
Cool! My sister had one of those when she was in high school - fun little tossable car with a neat little body style. That thing is pretty light, so I'd think it'd give Scottie a run for his money with similar engine mods .
Scottie-GNZ
Turns out that car belongs to someone on the Turbobuicks forums. It is a trick piece and I will post the details soon. I think anyone here can appreciate a setup like that.

pparaska
Scottie, I tried to find a spec page in all the Celica links I could find on those sites, but I never found a vehicle weight. If you can get in touch with the guy, see if you can find out how much do they weigh stock. And the engine weight.
Scottie-GNZ
Here are the specs as listed on the Buick Forum. A lot of it is turbobuick-speak, so I threw in some explanations in parens. Guest Anonymous
quote but why in that car? Because they're cool! I love old Celicas.
Scottie-GNZ
Keep in mind that there are people who look at a wicked V-8 Z and ask the same question. If you look beyond the fact that it is an old Celica and study the detail and specs, it is one hell of a ride.
Guest jens
If it just had been the celica st2000 the one that look like a small 69-70 mustang fastback from the rear. Here is a opel manta a with a twin turbo gn engine http://personal.inet.fi/private/tapi Look at the videos
kalium99
Opel Manta ?! The one on the left (are they the same?) looks suspiciously like a Holden Gemini..... Ray
denny411
Why?? BECAUSE YOU CAN!
Guest Zpeed
holden gemini's and opel manta's are just about the same, not exactly, but holden takes the designs of the opel's and changes them to meet there own steps. You can buy kits in aust to put a holden commodore 3.8ltr v6 (basically a buick v6 just with holden badges on the rocker covers) and put them into the gemini's i've seen many of them only if they bought out the 3.8ltr turbo buick motors in australia.. damn damn
