cthor
I recently bought a 72 240z with an SBC 350 in there. I am about to embark on a journey for power and have decided on going with a turbo setup on a 5.3 Lm7. I know I can buy LS1 mounts and put them on the 5.3 but, is there any way to make the 5.3 mount up to the 350 mounts on the stock crossmember? Or is my only option for the 5.3 to swap it to 5.7 mounts and then buy the conversion mount? if my research is correct, the 5.3 and 5.7 have different mounts but are interchangeable. zboi
Sounds like you have a lot more learning to do. All ls motors share the same mount pattern on the block, but yes there are many cars with ls motors and hence many mount styles. Easiest thing is to look at some pictures of ls swaps on here and you can see how things line up.
