theoneinformant
Started this project in 2011.It was originally to be a resto, but after pulling the motor, it had taken too much damage. ( cracked piston, badly scored cylinder wall in #4, block had already been welded, head was toast-no valve seat left, etc) So I did a full body tear down, built a rotisserie, fixed the the few rust spots, replaced the floor pans with thicker pans, replaced frame rails with the full length rails, stitch welded the entire chassis, then reinforced weak areas, and added a rollbar. The motor is a crate LT1, with high comp mahle pistons, stronger valve springs, comp cam, port and polished heads, edlebrock intake manifold and twin 58mm throttle body, msd ignition, electric water pump, and larger injectors. Transmission is a revised T56 transmission, carbon fiber synchros and upgraded input shaft, super single clutch, lightened flywheel and custom driveshaft Techno Toy Tuning coilovers, camber plates, adjustable front tie rods, adjustable rear lower control arms and their r200 differential kit. The r200 from a 96 infiniti q45, half shafts are also techno toy tuning upgrades. The fuel system is an aeromotive a1000 pump, controller and FPR with dual rails. ArizonaZcar wilwood front big brake kit, and z32 rear disk brakes, wilwood master and proportioning valve Rx7 seats, schroth 4 pt harnesses Autometer ultralite2 gauges Oz racing msw wheels, 235f/275r nt05's The exterior is primer/sealer only, but the unibody in and out is painted and cleared. Let me know what you think. Yes I know it needs paint
Ironhead
Looks like a solid conversion... I see that pretty much all the V8 swapped Zs have the same issue mine has....ground clearance for the exhaust. Do you find it scraping a lot?
theoneinformant
No scrapping at all actually, I think it's mostly due to the 17" wheels, has more ground clearance than oe. Yeah pretty lively in here haha
