lotussutol
The early CTS-V T56 have an odd shifter location way further back from a normal T56. Have any of you used one of these in a swap and used the direct bolt in shifter location (further forward) and corrected that with an offset shifter to the rear? I found a company that claimed to put the shifter in the stock T56 location but now for the life of me I can't find it. Still looking. I guess the question is...have any of you used this t56 and what shifter did you use or did you change the tail housing route?

I have the apex crossmember and the engine is maybe 2-3” away from the firewall. I have only mocked up the factory shifter linkage and it looks like it’s going to be in a pretty comfortable position. However I will have to cut up the trans tunnel. I will try and post pictures Monday to give an idea where about the factory shifter lands

christianmoller
Hello, Picture is all black for me. I'm also interested of what the linkage looks like as i thinking of going that route instead of the F-body way. /C

I had to cut the trans tunnel. I will retry posting pics. The first one is just from google of the shifter linkage. And the second two are where it landed in my z
