scottyMIz
the mazda's turbo was belching out white smoke and it was oil leaking. So the guy i bought the turbo from had a rebuild kit he never put in his car so i bought it for 80 bucks(good deal or not?)got it all taken apart and found the seals bad and one bearing was just shattered when i pulled it out it fell in about 10 pieces good thing it didn't happen when i was driving.Well anyway it's nice not to have a cloud of smoke follow you down the road This weekend i will start the efi project and hopefully get it to work i can't stand the carb. stony
rebuilding a turbo is relatively easy ... 70-100 bucks for a kit depending on turbo.... you have meake certain the cartridge is clean... replacing the parts is self explainitory <<
Tony240ZT
I paid $115 from Turbo City for my Garrett T3 kit. I sand blasted out the center section really well, then used carb cleaner. Turns out I'm not going to run it so I put it up on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1804438582 Sure is pretty isn't it?
