opie Posted June 26, 2002 Share Posted June 26, 2002 I pulled a turbo from an 86 turbo recently because I want to build a hybrid with a water cooled center and 2 things are odd. The first is the wastegate has a turnbuckle on it and I swear it is either stock or a professional upgrade replacement part. It's quite small and very prof looking. Not a homebrew. Anyone ever noticed this? The second is an incedental thing on the exhaust side. The downpipe is integral with the rear flange. In other words there is no exhaust flange to remove the downpipe from.
