turbo motor almost done...

im gonna be running a spearco intercooler i forget the dims, its like 3" thick and about 22" wide core size and like 10" tall...just enough to fill in the grill on my Gnose front bumper. ill be happy to run 14PSI...its just my engine builder wants to go crazy on my car...

i gave my head to a head porter here in san diego so hopefully they did something to work with the turbo manifold. my friend did the same exact setup im doing on his old 1982 280zxt and said he had no problems running with it, he ran a t3/t4 60-1 hifi turbo stage 5,he ran a 12.2 with the 280zx...it was pretty quick..very solid on the freeway...ill let you know how its gonna turn out when all the parts are done, my friend makes custom turbo manifolds, he built one before SS kind, but he told me...all SS turbo headers crack no matter what...said the stock turbo manifold works just as good up to about 300-400HP. he learned a lot from his friend who built a 1500HP supra...now that thing will make you pee in your pants on the freeway. right now they are working on the 1100HP at the wheels supra at the shop/...i was going to do the custom turbo header but he really didnt recommend it. he believes strongly in the stock turbo manifold. the only problem so far we are having is the where are we gonna tap the cyl. head sensor the Z31 ECU needs but after that we should be ready to roll. my friend rowland is running a n42 head on his turbo with a T4 with tec 2, he ran an 11.0 with his car burning tires in all gears,,,,he has a corvette 6-speed attached to the L-series motor..next time ill try taking pictures...its a pretty nice car. mostly done by Pantera Specialist

man i cant wait, my turbo motor is almost done, im going to be running the non-turbo block with 2.9L nismo stroker, block been re-worked...the head is the N42 that has been ported, 5 angle valve, swirled, lots done...also going to be running the Z31 ECU that has been remapped and the stock turbo inj. will be running at 95% duty, then ill be running the Z31 MAF sensor all connected with the 280zxt harness...my intake manifold has also been ported its the non-egr one...now flows 14% more than stock. hope to get some good numbers with 18psi on stock turbo...thinking of water injection now...just need to learn how to make a kit for my car. i cant wait...hopefully done by MSA.

Hey datto finally someone that is usein the N42 where are you getting your header because im building a 3.1 w/ N42 and havent seen any turbo headers for square ports? any help would be greatly apreacieted
