Lockjaw
Hey, Does anyone know where I can come up with some of those wide washers that are used to secure the bottom of the intake manifold and a header with a thinner flange than the intake? They are not the normal washers that nissan supplies, and they are about 3/4 inch thick with half of washer cut off about 1/2 inch to make up the difference in thicknesses between the header flange and intake. I have one leaking pig of a header, and want to seal it up. Thanks
johnc
I would just buy a set of spacers and grind a step in them. Try http://www.mcmaster-carr.com.
Lockjaw
I could not find spacers thick enough so I ordered a 3 foot steel rod and will make some with it. Should not be that difficult, I only need three. Drilling the hole thru it will be fun though. I guess I need to go buy a vise now. Thanks for the tip. Thanks for the tip. You can also buy metal tubing with varying wall thicknesses which might make it even easier...ie. a 1" OD with 1/4" wall (and 1/2" ID) for example.
