1FASTKINGCAB Posted November 12, 2002 Share Posted November 12, 2002 I think I'm going to need a muffler on my truck B4 I put it on the road and I was wondering what a borla XR1 race muffler would sound like? any one have or heard one on a ZX? johnc Posted November 13, 2002 Share Posted November 13, 2002 Had one on my 240Z for years behind a 2.5" exhaust. It sounds great but its load. 91db at full throttle measured 50' away. fl327 Posted November 14, 2002 Share Posted November 14, 2002 not a racing muffler, but i run a 3" straight thru style borla muffler, and it sounds great, smooth and doesnt drone like a cheap rice rocket muffler (cheap meaning constructed, not price) and yes, car alarms and their owners hate me.
