240Z Turbo
Well, let me just start by saying my car will be ready to fire up tomorrow. I lack putting back my tranny cooler onto the radiator and filling this thing up with Gasoline. So on with my question. I built a custom AL fuel cell and was wondering the requirements for grounding the fuel cell. Can anyone give me specific information that is recommended when installing such a fuel cell. Thanks, I need to get this thing breathing again!
V8ZRACER260Z
I have an aluminum Cell also, I welded flanges to both sides for mounting which also grounds the tank. I would sugest running a ground strap at the least though.
RB30-ZED
If you are using a flexable hose from the cell to the filler, you should run a earth from the tank to the filler to prevent the possibility of static electricity between the filler and the fuel pump or jerry can, as factory rubber filler hoses have a high carbon content to lessen the risk of sparks.
