Guest Anonymous
I put a timing belt on a v6 dohc Mazda 929, and when I started it up it idled really rough at 550rpm and fumigated the whole neighborhood. I think it was a cloud of gas but it was night time so it could have been oil. One of the plug holes was full of oil before I did the work (changed vc gaskets too) so I figure that plug could be fouled (replaced the plugs too, and when I pulled that one all the oil poured into the cylinder.) Anyway, can I assume that I just got the timing off a tooth or two? What do you think I did? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. - Rob
awd92gsx
It sounds like it's off, but, if you have a plug well filled with oil, it could also be that your plugs aren't firing right...
