Robin
My sons 280 left head light went on the fritz, spent 3+ hours troubleshooting (looking for short, disconnected, fried wires). I got tired, (wanted to sleep on this quest) went to shut the garage door, turn the garage lights off, took one final look back behind me to make sure everything was shut down in the garage, and what do i see???....... left front head light burning bright! (i forgot to turn the headlight swith off on the Z) Turn the light back on in the garage and wiggled wires to find where the short is and could not get it to short out. As i was standing over the car the head light went out by it self wiggled more wires but could not get it to go on. Im really scratchin my head on this one... anyone with suggestions would be appreciated!
denny411
Headlights are required to be on a circuit breaker for safety reasons. because of this, if the wiring is shorted the light should go on and off intermittently.
Guest 240hybrid
I had a similar problem with a front light under head light.... turned our socket wasnt grounding properly but half the time due to rust/grime. cleaned socket out and works fine. Might be the prob. ?? good luck
