Guest Anonymous
I just finished installing phatom autometer gages in my dash. They look great!! Only problem is I am going to have to enjoy them in my garage. I now only have spark from the coil when the ignition switch is in the on position. No spark when key is in start position. I can get started by bumping the starter and then quickly letting go of the key but it is difficult. The tach works but I must have left something not connected of connected it wrong. Any help, suggestions, comments, insults, or input would be appreciated. Thanks Mark
Mikelly
Did you by chance reverse the wires to the coil??? Just a guess. Mike ------------------ "I will not be a spectator in the sport of life!" mjk
Guest Anonymous
Yes that must be exactly it ! I did the same thing a million times , except I usally do it down at the starter, then realize what happened , a quick switch of the wires and off ya go! good luck, hope thats it . Guest Anonymous
Mark, I was getting migraines form my ignition switch.. It either wouldnt start or the key would jam up or fall out. so I put a switch on the dash for the fuel pump and the ignition and wired in a push button up under the dash to start the car. To hell with the key. If you dont kow where the button is..cant go anywhere. If you want more info on this type stuff let me know... ------------------ Vicki-aka The280Gal

Mikelly
The tumblers in the switch just wear out and cause the switch to fail. Getting replacements can be costly, so I just went with the Moroso cage mount box to control all my particulars. I do allow the ignition switch to turn on the power to the accesories and the guages.
