Guest Anonymous
Does anyone know if on 86 300zx's had the lsd diff that everyone want's? I had a guy email me and say he had one. He said by lsd that when one slips the other doesn't. I"m a little confused. He said it had 3.54 gears. He's going to get the number off the diff. I thought all diffs had 3.71 with the locking rearend. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone could help me out here. Thanks a million. I'm gonna go search archives and see if I can find anything. sean

Guest Anonymous
see that's what I thought. But the guy said he had lsd diffs and locking diffs. I thought that was the same thing. Is there any thing I could tell him to do over the phone and that way it could be for sure the right one. he is pulling it right now. sean
Lone Star 1
Hold one side tight and try to spind the other side. If it spins freely it is not a LSD. It should take about 25 to 45 ft lb's of tork to move the other side.

Lone Star 1
Doesn't matter drive shaft locked or unlocked. When you hold one tire it takes about 25 ft lb's to turn the other. IF the drive shaft is unlocked and you turn one wheel the other wheel turns the same direction.
