Less than a 350 but more than a 307. :D 305`s can be found almost anywhere for under 100 bucks. They were a very common engine, used from the late 70`s until the late 80`s in darn near EVERY rear wheel drive gm car(and truck).

They aren`t the most desirable performance engine, which means there are alot of them around for CHEAP.

I see lots of good-running 305-powered Caprices going for $200 at the local tow auctions. I'm gonna get one myself- that way I get a 700R4 with the engine and can sell the leftover parts on eBay before I scrap the shell.

depending on what you want the car to do a caprice is a good idea because the rear ends in those things are beefy, offroad guys like them and so do musclecar guys on a budget, if you pulled it out threw some new wheel bearings at it and maybe some new pads for the brakes and cleaned it up i wouldnt be suprised if u got a few hundred bucks for it, do your research first though because im not too sure - pete
