Guest 280steveX
i went to a local shop & they found HKS makes an exhaust for the 280ZX, but it doesn't specify whether it's for the coupe or 2+2. i read thru the Victoria-British catalog & they mention an "adaptor pipe." is this the difference between the 2 cars? i know any exhaust shop can fab the right size pipe, just wanna know if i gotta tell the shop to do this, or will HKS add it?. slownrusty
My 2cents - unless you are getting the HKS exhaust for very cheap, I would say go to your local muffler shop and they can build youa really nice set-up that will outflow the HKS and fit very well. The best part is you can choose from hudreds of muffler styles (for sound, flow, look etc) and hundreds of tips. To give you an idea - I had my local muffler guys make me a custom 3.0" setup with no crimp or crush bends and included a 3" cat, it cost me less than $400, I supplied the muffler (Flowmaster) and tip.
