Leaking brake fluid clean up

Recommended Posts

My friend's car has leaked brake fluid all over the frame rail and body underside, paint is stripping off.

What's the best way to completely clean all the fluid off in order to dry the metal and repaint it? Will something like acetone eat away the fluid for me?

Thanks.

Owen

just use water, or soapy water. Brake fluid is water soluable. Don't believe me? Just dump some in some water and see for yourself. It should wash away easily!!

Ha Ha Tim!

I just spent my lunch hour and more working on a friend's Civic front rotor and pad replacement. Everything went smoothly except for getting the pads back in. Stupid floating single piston weak azz design!!! My CRX took 35 minutes total!

Good thing my boss ain't here today, these hour and a half lunches make me

stand out!
