Guest MistaFosta
Im undertaking a RB26 swap on a 240z soon. I already own a v-8 Powered Z car running 10s, and have decided to try an RB one too. Im just wondering what you do to the oilpans for the swap, and why. Also, where do you source a lot of the RB26 parts in america? I can get a drivetrain from a friend in japan that is a importer, but Im curious if you know any good USA based sources for downpipes, intakes, cams, ect ect... Thanx in advance. Edit: After looking in the search, which Im sure someone would say to do, I have a different question bout the oil pans. Does anyone here do the mods, or have detailed pictures of them? If you do them, how much do you want?

Does no one here do the RB25 swap? If anyone does, let me know what prices run for the rb20 and rb25, i might have to adjust my pricing for you guys since you guys are pretty lucky with pricing. as far as mods for the engines, i highly doubt anyone on here can compete with me there, we work with supras so we push alot of parts, therefor get them ghetto cheap. Guest thepenguin99
zline you may be comparing apples to oranges. Are you talking a rb26dett with RWD tranny for $3900 or an AWD setup? I know his sig says $4250 for rb26dett w/RWD tranny. Also, how much is a rb25det zline? Not trying to start a war but I am considering going RB possably at some point so I would like to know. thx Nathan

Guest Anonymous
3900 for a low mileage 25tranny/26engine/26ecu 5 speed?
Bob_H
Not likely at all. If it is that cheap, I can almost promise you a few things. First it will be a R-32. Second, it will have higher mileage. Third, you won't likely have much guarantee if any. You get what you pay for. A low mileage R-33 motor will set you back at least 5k. A low mileage R-32,(if you can even find it, remember that is over 10 years old now), will be about 4-4.5k. And most of the importers will have a hard time verifying mileage unless you are dealing with a front clip. Food for thought. -Bob
Guest Zachb55
yeah, can you guys gaurantee your engines run well and arent damaged in any way? i mean i would deffinately pay more so something like what happened to Stony didnt happen to me. Especially if i paid $3700 in the first place, plus shipping, to get a metal chip factory..... -ZAch
