Guest Anonymous
Hi All, I'm making a billet fuel rail, but I don't have a spare intake manifold, and can't take measurements on mine that's clogged with stock crap. I need the measurements from injector to injector (1-2-3-4-5-6) to be able to tell my machinist where it needs to be punched to fit the injector bosses. I can only get the 1-2/5-6 measurements, seems to be 2-5/16" between them. So really I only need to know the distance between 2-3/4-5 and 3-4. If somebody has a spare intake manifold or fuel rail it would be nice if they could get me these figures. This is marked from center to center, by the way. I'm currently in the process of trying to find a spare intake manifold for mock-up purposes, but until then I'm stuck. I plan on making a few of these rails if anyone's interested. Thanks in advance! -980mak
Mudge
I would say you could get pretty darn close without pulling the rail, and that should be good enough for the rail, doesn't have to be within thousandths of an inch. But, I understand wanting to do it dead on, good luck!
Guest Anonymous
Thanks for the advice Mudge, I have a stock intake shipping my way to just make a one-off design. I do want the rail to fit pretty darn tight, precision is the name of the game. Like I said, I'll be making a few of these rails if anyone's interested. They'll be bored out to fit 10mm boss injectors. I could also fit barbed fittings, I'll post more on that later.. -980mak
Sparky
I would be interested in one made to fit o-ring injectors. how are you planning on keeping the rail firmly planted on the O-rings?
