I currently have a stock setup but with urethane bushings. Any idea on why the left rear is out of whack in the first place? Is the control arm bent? Synlubes Posted April 6, 2003 Share Posted April 6, 2003 Jake, IF your control arms are not bent, you can get ajustable rear control arm bushing from MSA or VB. These will give you a fair amount of ajustability to bring things back into spec. They don`t last a whole long time, but until some ajustable rear control arms are avalible it`s a good fix. If you`ve got the cash, find a good body shop in your area with a frame machine(and someone who knows how to use it)and have the frame cked / straightened. That's where I was going with my line of questioning, too. The custom adjustable a-arms would be a pretty exotic and expensive way to correct the problem if all that is wrong is a bent arm. Additionally, if the strut or mounting points are tweaked, then the adjustable control arm will only "sort of" fix the problem - most likely the geometry will still be screwed up, even if you can adjust the wheel end back to something that looks like stock at the static ride height. j260z Posted April 6, 2003 Share Posted April 6, 2003 i wrecked an a arm on my z 15 years ago running over a rock that fell of a truck in front of me. luckily i was working in a shop with a torch and was able to heat it up and bend it back into place until i got a new one.
