Guest Anonymous
Is there a company that makes engine mounts and transmission mounts for v8 and t-56 swaps? I havent seen any so Im guissing they have to be fabricated for your specific setup. I would like to do a chevy v8 (probably LT1) and T-56 swap into a 1973-74 240z with me doing all the labor and I am not sure how much fabrication is necessary (banging out the inner fenders, firewall, cutting cross member) any help would be appreciated. thanks
Tim240z
Go to http://www.jagsthatrun.com/Pages/Datsun_Z_V-8.html, and order the swap manual. It will answer all of your questions. With the LT1/T56 (at least in my case) no major modifications are necessary to the unibody clearances. Tim
Racin_Jason
Also, there's a tremendous amount of information available right here on HybridZ. The search function is a very powerful tool around here since this group has been so aggressively building, testing and pushing these cars to their limits...and they put it all in writing! Try a search on JTR for starters Welcome aboard! Jason
