Guest Anonymous
I know the cost of a prefab driveshaft. How bout if I have one made? 78 280z 350 th350? what was that cheyyenne engine mount fior I read about? gm#39903332 I dont need my new car to be perfect or all the gauges to work because I might take the dash out and use chevy gauges because the dash doesnt made it go faster I'm ready to burn some tires so any advice on dropping an engine in the bay and jumping up and down on top of it till it goes in would be helpful (I would not be opposed to rigging most anything up) I ordered the jtr book but its not here yet

Guest Anonymous
HOW THE? once I shoehorned a bigblock in a camaro for a couple of hundred dollars! I saw a chevette with a caddy 500 for 2000 and that included the price of the car!! I paid 75 dollars for my 280 ! I don't want to reinvent the wheel just to make mine spin faster so if I paid 75 for the car, 500 for a eng&trans,500 for body, fuel pressure reg, radiator, chevy gauges, what else can there possibly be? Georgia Flash
LOL oh MR. Longfellow, you have not been on this board long or you would not ask such a question I only paid $100.00 for my Z but I already have way more than that invested and it is not even close to running yet. By the way did you read the first post in this section? If not I suggest that you go and read it. Very helpful and it will answer most if not all of your questions regarding the V-8 swap. Oh and I should say Welcome to our little spot on the web! Hang around and you will find out that everyone here is very helpful. Use the search function from time to time and try to find some answers to questions that way. Good luck with your project.
jt1
It can be done pretty cheaply, but if you're like most gearheads, while you're at it, you'll........... I'm way past 12K.......and counting. I don't add it up that often. Welcome to HybridZ, you've found the right place. There's lots of good info in the aforementioned thread, read it thoroughly. Mudge
If you dont at least spend money on a cage (proper car setup $$$), then your going to twist that body all to heck. This is why things cost money, if your making big power in a car then you ARE reinventing/re-engineering the car, and thusly will have to replace damn near everything on it.
