Guest JAMIE T
I just got my Hayashi Racing intake from Todd Walrich(I posted a link to his website a few weeks ago). He glass beaded it for me and it looks great. Expensive, but worth it to me for nostalgic reasons. Kinda like 6 Stromburgs on a 327 Chevy. My idea is to make a spacer that goes between the intake and head to hold injectors(I don't want to weld bungs to this intake), then build a plenum(with bell mouthed inlets) that bolts on where the triple carbs would have. I will use a single throttle body bolted to the plenum. Essantally the triple intake will be the runners for my EFI intake. I don't wnat the intake to look fabricated, so I'm going to build the plenum out of some 1/4" and 3/8" aluminum. After the welding is done, I will grind all of the welds and smooth the corners, etc... Then sand blast it(or just paint it with black wrinkle paint) so it looks like a casting. I'll add some lettering to the top of it(a name or something) and polish off the tops of the letters. BTW, Todd has his new business up and running. http://www.cryosciencetechnologies.com His company does cryo-treatment for metal. We all know this is good stuff. I don't need to get into the benefits of this process(I will post about it in the hightech forum). He told me some stories about satisfied clients of the process. I'm getting my LD28 crank, 9mm 240 rods, and maybe even the block and head, and rockers, etc... done. Anyway this post is about my sweet new intake. I'll try and get some pics up of it. I'm very pleased, and can't wait till monday when I can start making the EFI spacer/adapter.

Guest JAMIE T
No pics yet. I'm working on adapting it for EFI. I'm doing it WITHOUT welding bungs into this manifold(I don't want to screw up the value of it by heavily modifying it that way). I'm making a spacer to go between the intake and the head to hold the injectors. Then, I'll make plenum that will bolt on were the carbs would have. I'll see if I can get some pics soon for ya. Guest zline
Does Hayashi still make a intake manifold for triple weber/mikunis?
Guest JAMIE T
Probably not. And it will still be hard to come by unless you speak Japanese.
