dsommer
OK Fire her up (240Z with full roller 350, T-5 tranny), roll on the gas some and then nail it in first. Off to the right side of the car and in to the passenger compartment dust/smoke stinky too. No hood on car and no cover for the shifter hole so I can see this happening. Car seems to be lacking power after this. Is the clutch slipping that bad? It's a brand new clutch (no name brand haha cheap me ) Tires have got to be hooking 225/45/17 Drag TA's (brand new) the car is not trying to fishtail on me. Comments? Sugguestions? ds
Mikelly
Two things... Replace the clutch/ Presure plate, and get the flywheel resurfaced since you likely will have osme hot spots on it. Sounds like you cooked it off good. Mike
dsommer
The pressure plat has been resurfaced already and the clutch is new. I don't want to yank the thing just yet, if I do I'll be going T-56 or 700R4 ds
Mikelly
Yea, but once you glaze the surfaces of both, the clutch should be pitched and the flywheel should at minimum be polished. I'd expect more of the same based on your description... That T5 won't last long either... Especially with the best in front of it.
