Im have a '82 280zxt w/ a V8 conversion. I was wondering does anybody know what would be good size tires for me to use in the back, and what are the biggest that will fit(height wise)?

Well first of all welcome aboard!!! :D Always nice to see more

280ZX(T)'s come on to the site.

As for your question it is kinda hard to answer with out knowing what size rims you have. Try looking up this with the search function on the site under the "Brakes, wheels, chassi, suspension" forum.

If you have stock 15x6 wheels, 225/60-15 is the largest size that will technically fit that wheel width wise. That gives you about a 25.5" diameter tire. If maximum diameter is what you are after, then 205/75-15 is a 27" tall tire.

I am running 235/45-17 tires all around and that is pretty much the limit for stock ZX, lowered 1".

Im am using 17X7 in. rims. So, i want to know the biggest tire size in diameter. Thanks

The largest diameter tire I can find in the Yokohama table at Tire Rack is a 225/55-17, that is 26.7" tall. It is the Avid T4, all season tire. Kinda crappy for a performance tire, but really tall.

Why do you want a TALL tire?

I don't really want a super tall tire I was just "wondering" what the biggest tire was that could fit on a 280zxt w/o rubbing anything. I was also kinda wondering b/c I just had my V8 conversion completed like 2 weeks ago, and right now im running 205/70/R17's all around. They just don't feel right, i feel like I need a more bigger (all around) tire size in the back. Any suggestions would be nice....

Check that size again. Neither Tire Rack or Discount Tires Direct sells that size. Could that be 15"?

You could go 225/45-17 all around and it would imrove the look by filling out the wheel well much better than your 205/40. If you wanted to go larger in the back, look for a 225/50 or 55, but you will still be limited to 45 in the front.
