Synlubes
I am putting a 3 piece rear spoiler on and want to bond on to the body and fill the gaps. Has anyone used this stuff ? Any other products ? Any recommendations ?
denny411
3M makes a few different bonding adhesives that are material specific.I`ve used the metal to metal adhesive with good results. if their f-glass to metal adhesive works as well, i would recommend it. Guest greimann
That E-6000 is a styrene based sealant that is very similiar, if not exactly like Shoe Goo, or that family of goop products. Is is a very good adhesive that will bond many things. The last project I used it for was bonding a lexan window into the convertible top of my friends Miata. For what you are doing, I would go to the local body shop supply place and look into the two part adhesives that are designed for bonding components you have. The 3M adhesives mentioned before are a good start.
Synlubes
Thanks All ! The spoiler Will be bolted to the car, I also want to use a bonding agent to fill the gaps(and bond to the body). I`m thinking, when I go to fill in and mold to the body there will be less chance of cracking in the filler. Yes / No ???
Guest 2adz
I used E-6000 to bond my fiberglass quarterpanels. So good so far.
