will 235/45/17 tires fit?? ...need a quick answer....

I have a '73 240 with mostly stock suspension and lowered springs..sits about an inch or so lower than stock... just ordered 17x7 rims and need to know if 235/45/17's will fit and NOT rub my stock spring perches.....need to know pretty quick

80/20 chance that they will rub. What is the backspace of your 17 x 7 wheels?

wheel offset is 40 mm and i will be using the MMotorsports adapters.Found Dave Grieemann's website and they work for him with a stock suspension,but not sure if he has lowering springs like me....heres his website...http://home.earthlink.net/~dvgreimann/index.html

not to be rude but next time search around before buying your wheels so you know they will fit for sure ive spent about 2 weeks trying to figure this out and ive sorta narrowed it down. good luck... post pics when you are done !
