utvolman99
I know bushing kits have been done to death but I have searched and cant find anything that helps. I am about to order a energy suspension bushing kit for my 73 240. At the same time I will be installing an R200 diff. Here are my questions. 1. Are the Mustach Bar Bushings different from R180 to R200? 2. What other bushing differences are there between the 240 and the 280? Assuming there is a difference between the Mustach Bar Bushings I was planning on ordering a kit for a 280 to match the diff. Can I do this or will I have to buy a kit for a 240 and then buy the Mustach Bar Bushings separate? Thanks for your help!
utvolman99
Okay guys, someone on here can for sure help me out! I know that a lot of people have 240s. I also realize that most of you have changed to the 200R diff. Assuming that you have changed your bushings you should know the answer to this question... Dave
The bushings in the mustache bars are the same. I did the same swap in my 71 and just used the 280 mustache bar and the R200 front diff mount.
utvolman99
Dave, so you ordered the bushing kit for the 240?
Modern Motorsports Ltd
As mentioned above, the mustache bar bushings are the same between the kits. The steering rack'n'pinion do change from 240 to 280Z kits. I just went thru this with a customer that bought a240Z master kit from myself a while back, and now he's planning an R200 swap. Made no difference on his related bushings.
