Guest Your Car is Slow
I just pulled the oil pan off a stock L24 from a 70 240z that was completely rebuilt in 1988..has less than 100 miles on it since the rebuild too. Anywhoo....ive parted the rest of the stuff out...and I was just wondering what the value of the bottom end parts are so I can throwem up on ebay or trade for other parts I need here? Or should I just toss the whole thing? Crank? Rods? Oil Pan?
Mike C
The block has the most value of all for a restorer of a 70. The rest of it, not much. Anybody building an L6 wants more displacement, or if they need 240 rods, they want the later 8mm ones. You might luck into somebody wanting to build up an L24 and need a donor shortblock so they can keep driving their car., but with L28 flat top motors reasonably priced and reasonably common, probably not. Guest Your Car is Slow
Interesting...ill have to go measure the rods to see what size they are. Thanks!
