383 240z
I was scouring the bone yard the otherday and found a VIRGIN 327 SJ. I pulled it and drug it home listened to the wife yell "Another Motor??? " and tore it down the heads were incorrect (882 heavyweights) but I got a good 4" block and a forged crank, flat top pistons and the front fill intake 4BBL . I was thinking about a cheap set of vortec heads(I know I cant use the stock intake ) and a good carb to make a decent street motor any ideas on a cam?? also what is the besy HP/TQ number I can expect from these heads?? Tim240z
Keith, Great score man!!! You might want to read the post from a while back called "Desktop Dyno revisited". Grumpy suggested a good cam for my 350ci with Vortec heads. Not sure if it will apply equally to the 327, but maybe? Tim
