I've been surfin here for awhile and now I'm going to get a 240 again. So far I've built up a 350 for install :-D After reading the JTR book a few times, I'm ready.

I still need a 240 car though. Also needed is a WC T-5, JTR kit or "one similer in design", and a clutch MS. Close to California is good too.

Thanks for any help, Forrest.

Keep looking and you will find. The T5's are available used, especially from a Chevy/GM wrecking yard--you may have to order one from one on the net if you can't find one in your area, but that's not too bad.

Just make sure it is a World Class unit.

If you don't have one yet, I would buy an aftermarket scattershield that adapts a Ford WC T5 to the Chevy engine. Both McLeod and Lakewood have them. Not only should a performance car run an explosion proof bellhousing for safety, then you can run the significantly cheaper Ford T5 or you can buy a brand new one from Ford Motorsport through SUmmit for $1200. The bellhousing price should be the same for the regular GM/rotated T5 pattern and the adapter bh.
