Guest Al 260Z
Dang. If I can figure out how to do this... If I were real clever, you wouldn't even have to click on the links Results from powdercoating shop: http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=1089 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=1090 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=1091 http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/album_pic.php?pic_id=1092 Exterior is called "titanium" finish and is supposed to be the highest temp coating they've got. This looks really good. We'll see how it holds up in-service real soon. Interior coating is called "Insulcoat" and is just sloshed on by the shop after they bake the outside. Looks pretty weak, but they say it will spread and bake on by exhaust heat. I made 'em give me some extra liquid in a bottle so I can repaint the spots they missed and where it's flaking off. Guess I'll have to check in a few months and let y'all know. Probably another $ lesson at Ye Ol School O Hard Knockers. (It ony gets 1 $ due to $35 charge for "insulcoat"). Dual-tube downpipe is not in photos since a crack showed up at the top flange and it's in the muffler shop for a repair weld. So much for the powdercoat in that region ! I just hope they can get the weld to bond to base metal what with all the crap on the inside and outside of the pipe. Fingers crossed. Port match job looks better in real life than in detail photo, but you'll get the idea. Heat shield looks great. Later, Al[/i]
WHP
Looks good Al. I did extensive port matching and tapering the indented areas cast to clear the mounting bolts. PITA, but it was cheap. I got the 2.5" exhaust system from Motorsports. The twin downtubes are slightly larger and do not slide up into the manifold. They required port matching to the manifold. Looks like it will work ok.
