Guest Anonymous
just recently rebuilt my dp 650 without having much knowledge (handbook) . i used the double pumper rebuild kit from holley and decided to go with the larger diaphragm that came with it, not sure what size but it was larger than the one i replaced it with. my question is, does this affect the idle at all?! because my idle starts off at 1000 and climbs and climbs every 3 secs or so almost up to 2000. the curb idle is set at it's lowest point, so i cannot lower it anymore. if it isn't the diaphragm then what is it? could it be the float adjustment and needle? someone help, thanks
Mike C
There are 2 diaphragms that come in the kit, one is a 30cc accelerator pump diaphragm and the other is a 50cc. If you do not have the 50cc pump housing, cramming all that extra rubber in the 30cc housing is monkeying with your accelerator pump. Fix that firts, then work on your fast idle problem.
