Guest zfan Posted June 9, 2003 Share Posted June 9, 2003 Well my Holley blue electric fuel pump crapped out on my this weekend. It was rather loud and annoying to say the least. I think I am going to go to a Holley high volume mechanical pump. One I don't have to listen to it and two I have gone thru two electric pumps so they don't seem to reliable. Mike C Posted June 9, 2003 Share Posted June 9, 2003 I had a chrome one and it was prone to vapor lock. I ended up running a red pump as a pusher to the chrome Holley mechanical. Eventually pulling the mechanical off. I resurrected it for awhile for use in my Jimmy. Same Result. I run Carter street/strip pumps in both of my trucks and bought a mechanical strip pump for my Camaro FWIW, as I am going to retire the obnoxious red pump ASAP.
