Help - R180 & R200 pics.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, a few months ago I saw a post that showed the R180 and R200 side by side, I'm working with a novice parts yard and wanted to send them a pic of what an R200 is/is not to make sure they don't ship me an R180. Does anyone have pics of these handy, I looked for the post but wasn't able to find it again.

Thanks,

I used the criteria of the moustache bar being behind the mounts for the 200 instead of in front with the 180. If you want to get specific 75-76 280 or 77-78 with manual trans.

Do any R200s come with a differential cover that looks JUST like the one on the R180? (with that little plastic vent hole in the top?

I purchased what I thought was an R200....however upon looking at the pictures and the rear over and over....it still looks like an R180 to me :(

Ill have to snap some photos tonight...this really has me disappointed. :/

The R180 has a aluminum plate bolted to the differential that the axles

pass through. It can be seen in the picture, The R200 does not have

the plate. The R180 has 10MM studs in the rear cover where the R200

has 12 MM studs. The R180 has the studs closer together than the R200.
