Does this seem like a good deal?

Doesn't seem to bad. Haven't ever dealt with them, but maybe call them and see what kind of a 'gut' feeling you get.

Just remember, those motors need alot of stuff to complete them, you'll need to add that stuff up to see what the total price is:

Water pump, damper, carb, flexplate/flywheel, distributor, fuel pump, plugs, wires, inlet manifold fittings, pulleys etc, etc...

Compare that to some other crate motors that places like Scoggin Dickey, Summit, PAW, and others offer which are more complete and are from known good suppliers (established reputation).

Piece of mind is worth a hell of a lot, trust me!

look closely at the pictures, the engines are the same in both pictures and those are not DART HEADS, it looks like those pictures were taken in the guys home garage, notice the milk crate and old tire in the back ground and the cheap non-comercial grade engine stand, I could be wrong but over the years If gotten a feeling for scams, I thick what you would get here (if you get anything before the guy changes phone #s and adresses) is a $800 pet boys or discount auto rebuilt core long block with a $46 dollar chrome timeing cover, valve covers, a $100 intake and a $59 oil pan for your $1800 and a set of $800 dart heads for an additional $1100, PASS,DO NOT DEAL WITH SOMEONE YOU HAVE LITTLE OR NO POSSIABLE RECOURSE AGAINST IF THEY SCREW YOU!

look here,your basic engines

your higher performance engines

you can build, or buy a better combo for less money, trust me on that

Yea, what Grumpy said. This looks like a screw job waiting to happen. Notice the hype he is trying to generate by using capitals and exclamation points all over. He encourages you to "buy now" before people get wise to the scam. Stay far far away.

The wording is suspect! Mr. Grump is right. All the guy is offering is a standard rebuilt motor with parts possibilities.I doubt that you wold even get the Shineeeeeey parts in the "crate"
