74Adam
The subject is pretty self-explanatory, but I will elaborate a little. I am converting my early model 74 to EFI. Jerry at All Z East will do the work (I have some knowledge, but this would be over my head). I plan on replacing my injectors, o-rings and connectors, of course. I also think a new cold start injector might be a good idea. Beyond this however, I don't really know what I should do. I DO have enough money to replace every single sensor, but should I? Can someone give me an "order of priority" of which sensors I should replace, or are they all equally important? Obviously, I need to edumacate myself on the subject, but I have to start somewhere:-) Oh, something else to consider: I will eventually get an aftermarket management system, probably SDS, therefore it probably wouldn't make much sense to spend money on something that isn't compatible with the SDS software. Thanks for the help. -Adam
SleeperZ
I consider myself somewhat of a cheapskate. I would use used sensors, because they do not fail often. New injectors are a good idea, though, but I also wouldn't bother with a new cold start injector.
Guest benjlv
throw it on there and see what it does....althought i do reccomend soaking the injectors in some of that fuel system cleaner that you put in the gas tank of the car before you put them on the car. Will clean them out real good. Other than that the sensor dont fail often. Deal with the problems according to this book if you have them. http://www.72hours.net/~zcar/ The fuel injector connectors suck on the stock EFI. While you have the harness out you may want to replace the failing connectors with ones off of a mid 80s to mid 90s gm product. They are quick disconnect fittings and seal up nice. 74Adam
benjlv, Are those the same connectors that MSA sells as an aftermarket part? They are on page 69 if you have their catalog and cost $12.95 apiece.

Yes, they do suck, and usually break off anyway. Me, cheapskate that I am, replaced mine with late 80's Saab connectors from the junkyards (free!). Just clip them off, they are quick disconnect and are working great for me.
